ONN Android TV remote not Working (How to Fix)

If your ONN Android TV remote isn’t working, there could be a few reasons why.

The most common reasons are:

  1. The batteries might be low or dead.
  2. There might be a problem with the software.
  3. The remote’s infrared sensor might not be working.

Here’s what you can do:

Step 1: Check Batteries

This is the first step.

Make sure the batteries in the remote are not dead. If they are, replace them with new ones and put them in the right way.

Step 2: Reset the Remote

Take out the batteries from the remote and wait for 30 seconds.

While you wait, press all the buttons on the remote, especially hold down the power button for about 10 seconds.

After that, put the batteries back in and see if the remote is working again.

Step 3: Power Cycle the TV

Now is the time to look at the TV.

Disconnect the TV from the power outlet completely; similarly, disconnect all the HDMI-connected devices from the TV.

Wait for 5 minutes. During this time, press and hold the TV’s power button for about 20 seconds.

Once you are done, plug everything back in and check if the remote is working now.

What to do if the remote is working but not pairing?

Hold the ONN streaming stick and locate a small pairing button on it.

Grab a paper clip and press and hold this button for around 5 seconds. A pop-up will show up.

Next, press and hold both the “Back” and “Home” buttons on the remote for about 5 seconds.

And there you go! Your remote should be repaired now.
