How To Fix ONN Android TV no Sound

There could be a few reasons why the sound isn’t working on your ONN Android TV, but the most usual one is a temporary issue with the system.

So, the first troubleshooting method would be:

Unplug your TV from the wall and disconnect any devices connected through HDMI. Wait for 5 minutes. While you’re waiting, hold down the power button on your TV for about 30 seconds. Then, plug your TV back in and turn it on.

If the first solution doesn’t work, you can try the following steps:

  1. Toggle HDMI CEC: Go to Settings, then Device Preferences, then HDMI CEC. Turn CEC off, then back on again.
  2. Change Audio Format: Turn off Dolby Digital and switch the audio format to PCM (stereo) from the sound-out settings.
  3. Check HDMI Cables: Make sure the HDMI cables are properly connected and not damaged.
  4. Adjust TV Volume: If your TV has a remote, try using it to adjust the volume instead of the ONN device’s remote.
  5. Update the ONN Device: Check for updates for your ONN device and install them if available. You can also downgrade the firmware version using a USB Flash drive.

If none of these solutions work, there might be an issue with the main control board or the audio processing unit of the TV, and you may need to replace it.

Hope this helps!
